“Not running Fangtasia anymore?,” she asked, nodding at him, thinking if he had to leave the state, it must be important. “Well, just take care of yourself, Eric.”
“Pam and Chow can handle things fine on there own,” he says, standing up a bit taller. He trusted them both with the business completely. He shoots her an overconfident grin. “I always take care of myself Sookie.”
“Never said you could not, Eric,” she restated, shrugging her shoulders. “I am just being polite about it since it would be rude to be telling you that anywhere else is nothing compared to Louisiana. Yes, it is a bit backwards, but I think even if I wanted to travel, I would keep coming back here.”
Sookie rubbed her arms up and down before nodding, “Thanks, and how are things with you?”
He shifts a little, smiling at her, a poor attempt at politeness as usual. “Things are complicated. I’m not staying in Louisiana anymore.”

Pale isn’t that bad you know, it suits some people.
Well, I cannot be without a bit of a tan. I like a bit of color to my skin.
I am not denying that sunkissed skin doesn’t suit you wonderfully.

I’m doing good, I bought a new sundress for the summer. I am hoping to get a nice tan and burn the first layer of my skin because I am determined not to look as pale as…well you.
Pale isn’t that bad you know, it suits some people.
Well, I cannot be without a bit of a tan. I like a bit of color to my skin.

“Why would you get jealous? Alcide is hung up on his ex and he needs to focus on the fall out of the Marcus incident. I finally got a bit of what happened. Luna, his girlfriend, was mother to Marcus’ kid, another werewolf.” Just how this small town managed to be connected to other people several towns over. Laughing again, Sookie wondered why Eric was hung up on Alcide. Did he and Alcide get into some sort of argument? Another business gone awry? “Did you and him get into some sort of fight? I have been trying to help with my brother and going on a few dates here and there.”
He cocked his head, listening to her speak. “I have no interest in werewolf squabbles Sookie.” But he was glad to hear that she had been dating, it made him feel at ease that they could both move on. “Have you? That is a good thing.”
Nodding, she set aside the topic of Alcide onto how he was doing. “I have, but I have to keep shutting their thoughts from my mind. Can you honestly believe the nerve of some people thinking of whether the carpet matches the drapes? It is rude, disgusting, and their mama should have taught them better.” God, the memories of her past dates, but lately, being kept busy with Jason and even thinking of trying an online class was on her plate.
